SEO Certification and Continuing Education Units

How Our SEO Certification Works

This Search Engine Academy seal is proudly displayed by graduates of our workshops worldwide.

Students who complete either our SEO Advanced Skills or SEO Mastery courses and earn a grade of 76% on the exit examination are given a certification backed by the 8-year track record of the Search Engine Academy and signed by the instructor.

What Our SEO Certification Is

The certificate indicates that a certain level of knowledge was met by the end of the course.  It allows you to display the appropriate Search Engine Academy seal on your website, Facebook timeline, etc.

What it is not

Certification is not a recommendation by the Search Engine Academy that you have successfully implemented the knowledge you have acquired, making it a skill.  That can only be achieved by you applying what you have learned in the real world.

How University CEUs (Continuing Education Units) Work

If you are interested in getting University CEUs for the coursework, you must notify us before you attend.  Contact us to let us know if you’re going to request CEU credit.  These are nationally recognized CEU’s through the University of Southern Mississippi (many CEU’s are only state-recognized).  Upon successful completion of our course the USM registrar will keep a copy of your transcript for 20 years.   There is a small fee that is paid to the University of Southern Mississippi (the accrediting body), and there are certain other requirements.

What the CEU You Earn Is

This CEU indicate that the accrediting body, in this case the USM, has examined the course materials, the credentials of the instructors, and has given approval of the value of the course.   CEU’s often help meet the continuing education requirements for certain professions.

What it Is Not

They are not credits toward completion of a University Degree.
